Kshatriya refs[edit]

Currently four refs are given for the opening sentence, for which the word "Kshatriya" was restored. Presumably one or more of these are meant to support K. status:

  • Fawcett (1990) Nairs of Malabar. Asian Educational Services. NewDelhi.
  • Hermann Gundert. Keralā pazhama: antiquity of Kerala. International School of Dravidian Linguistics
  • Edgar Thurston; K. Rangachari (15 November 2001). Castes and tribes of Southern India. Asian Educational Services. pp. 61–. ISBN 9788120602885. http://books.google.com/books?id=FnB3k8fx5oEC&pg=PA61%3C%2Fref%3E. Retrieved 10 June 2011.
  • The Modern review , Volume 123, Issues 7-12, p.894

Fawcett and Thurston I can find online, and neither says any such thing. Do either of the other two substantiate K. status, and if so, how? Are they available online somewhere for reading? Given that Fawcett and Thurston are available online, why were their footnotes not provided with a link? MatthewVanitas (talk) 19:23, 22 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
