Matthew Stirling was one of the remarkable Stirling family (3 generations: Reverend Robert Stirling, Patrick Stirling, Matthew Stirling) responsible for the advancement of steam engine design in the Victorian era. I can expand the document considerably, and although I agree with the principle of 'speedy deletion', I can only work on it for a few minutes at time and hence a few iterations will be required to expand it. The Edit Summary indicated it was a First Draft. So please let it 'live' longer than 10 minutes! MaltonMan 18:36, 25 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I would suggest using your sandbox as a placeholder for first draft articles. Without sources or more substantial claims of notability than what was here, the article as it stands now isn't going to pass muster with most editors. DarkAudit 18:40, 25 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
There are at least three possible references given by this search. I would suggest the article shouldn't be speedied. Addhoc 14:26, 26 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
