Comment[edit]

The end of the article has the word "you" where it should not be. Perhaps the whole end needs to be re-written in a non-personal form.

Sometimes "Mash"?[edit]

The article says that Mashramani is "sometimes abbreviated to "Mash" - shouldn't this be 'often abbreviated to "Mash"'? When I was in Guyana, people usually called the festival "Mash". Thoughts? Camillus (talk) 23:44, 14 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I agree. Make the change. Nick Taylor 04:33, 15 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

More references[edit]

Can we get more references for the origin section? RJFJR (talk) 21:32, 15 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

More pictures?[edit]

Currently there is one picture. Would adding more pictures improve the article? RJFJR (talk) 21:30, 15 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Meaning of Mash[edit]

It seems the name's 'Amerindian origins' is but a folktale per this Stabroek article[1] "After 50 years, is it time to correct the Mashramani myth?" By Al Creighton March 1, 2020. Sounds like a legitimate case for disputing the name, but I'm not so confident in 'correcting' the article. Leaving it here for anyone interested! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Estheim (talkcontribs) 17:53, 7 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
