stepmother?[edit]

The cited source does indicate that Mrs. Foran previously Charles was not Martha Needle's birth mother, but only in reporting hearsay. I'm not convinced that the cited source gives sufficient detail to distinguish between mother by adoption and step-mother. Lavateraguy (talk) 13:37, 1 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Mary was her birth mother. Her father left Mary when she was about 7 months pregnant and they moved from Morgan to Port Adelaide shortly after. That is where Mary met Daniel Foran and had another two children with him; a boy and girl.
