In-universe[edit]

While the introduction and parenthetical references to Mariposa's real-world counterparts provide some context, most of the article is written without any reference to the works in which Mariposa appear. Since, according to the article, "many attempts have been made to expand the canon, present it in a different form or make reference to it", it is unclear whether all the information can be found in Leacock's original work, or if some parts are later additions. Having read other works of Leacock and spent some time in the Leacock Building, I would appreciate if the article could be rewritten to ground it firmly in reality. //Essin (talk) 00:17, 30 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
