I think you're completely going in the right direction. This is exactly the type of thing I had in mind and I think the page can only be improved with the addition of little bit more detail but it seems already very well developed. The information and structure of this article is spot on. It's easy to follow, concise, and tells me exactly what I want/need to know. My only suggestions are to add a brief overview for an introduction to outline the main points of the article. The article may also benefit from an image during your "Tectonics" section.
