Magar Pang bhasha(magar kura),and magar Kaike(magar kura} are the languages for eighteen magarat and Magar Dhut bhasha(magar kura) is the language for twelve magarat people.But in the present time most of the people do not speak their language either magar Pang language or magar dhut language speaking magar clans,this is burning problem for this magar tribes.There are total seven magar clans and there is no any clan who speak their language more than 60% and their social standard is equal in the society.So this is a heavy problem for all magar language speakers.Their population is in the third rank in total Nepal population and first in the comparison to other aborigenes groups.So they are one of the very powerful caste.

Number of speakers[edit]

We have: "Based on census data taken in 2011, the total population of Magar Kham is estimated to be about 69,000 speakers." but:

The census gives 27,113 native Kham speakers
Ethnologue gives 69k for "Kham, Western Parbate" [kjl] only

Second language date: here. So we have:

27,113 native Kham speakers in the whole country (p. 130)
No L2 Kham speakers? (p. 209)
Rukum: 10,745 native Magar speakers (p. 199) + 1,493 second-language Magar speakers (p. 257)
Rolpa: 23,855 native Magar speakers (p. 199) + 665 second-language Magar speakers (p. 257)
Baglung: 14,633 native Magar speakers (p. 195) + 1,736 second-language Magar speakers (p. 254)

As according to our article Kham Magar, they live in "the districts of Rukum, Rolpa, and Baglung". This gives us a total of:

49,233 native Magar speakers in Kham Magar territories. + 27,113 native Kham speakers = 76k native Kham speakers?
3,894 L2 Kham speakers?

The article says "East Rukum" so I assume someone took half of the native Magar speakers in Rukum. And then we magically get 69k. Seems like OR to me... a455bcd9 (Antoine) (talk) 10:12, 29 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
