Original French?[edit]

If someone would care to post the original French from which the following sentence is translated, it would be possible to see whether the translation needs to be tweaked.

"My daughter was raised between a linnet and a lark, but this is a nightingale which learned to sing."

  • It's now at the bottom of the page. There is a link to the rest of the passage. Froggerlaura ribbit 13:25, 8 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I don't seem to have access. Awien (talk) 17:50, 9 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
»" Froggerlaura ribbit 18:51, 9 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks, Froggerlaura. After all that, Chiswick Chap has already fixed the translation anyway. Awien (talk) 19:11, 9 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
