The Footnote does Not Corroborate the Text[edit]

There is the following statement in the Wiki article re: Mack Vickery -

"In 1989 Vickery won the Music City News "Song Of The Year Award" for "I'll Leave This World Loving You”,a hit for Ricky Van Shelton and in 2002, the Alabama Music Hall of Fame honored him with a bronze star in its Walkway of Stars[3]"
The footnote (#3) does Not corroborate the text.

Absolutely nothing is said about Music City News or "Song Of The Year Award". I would like to believe the text but how can I when the footnote is simply an obit which mentions nothing about the claim. By the way, if you look under the Wiki article titled: "Johnny & the Hurricanes" it states that they were Mack Vickery's back-up band for some of his recordings. Could someone else corroborate this and be specific as to what recordings they did together? : 184.76.56.97 (talk) 08:06, 24 March 2013 (UTC) JSJR 3242013[reply]
