MPR Associates, Inc.[edit]

I was referred by Dr. Per Peterson of U.C.Berkeley's Nuclear Engineering department to the MPR company for export advice. I was surprised to find almost nothing on the web about this company. Their corporate website is simple and almost information free beyond noting that they do nuclear services work for the government and are over 50 years old. Looking for more, I found only the barest mention of them in an off-hand comment in the wikipedia article Naval_Reactors. So, I dug around more and found only an unusually large number of grumbling accounts by ex-employees about how it's an unpleasant place to work. So I settled for adding a disambiguation reference on the "MPR" page saying

MPR Associates, Inc., a large, internally owned, nuclear services company in the United States founded by 3 of Admiral Rickover's technical managers.

surely this is a factual, unbiased statement. But this reference was reverted in less than 4 hours. I then retorted by adding a link to the company web site and request to start a page about them

But this reference too was reverted in under an hour. The user who so diligently works to make sure nobody knows the term MPR is used this way is User:DexDor.

MPR is a privately held company, so there is very little financial information about them, like number of employees, revenue, what projects they are working on, etc. Cuhlik (talk) 18:45, 18 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

@Cuhlik: WP:AGF requires that we should assume that both you and DexDor are editng in Good Faith. Saying "...make sure nobody knows the term MPR is used this way ...", is not a good faith assumption.
WP:MOSDAB says "Never include external links, ... " Disambiguation (DAB) pages are meant to help readers find pages on Wikipeda (WP), not to link to an external website.

Therefore it appears that DexDor's revert was per WP guidelines, and explained in the edit summary. I hope this clears up why your edit was removed. Regards, 220 of ^Borg 03:58, 2 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
