Sourcing problems[edit]

This article has strong sourcing problems. What sourcing exist is from the company itself, not from a reliable third party source. Much of the material is utterly unsourced, and may not be accurate. My accuracy antenna is particularly pricked up by the claim that their North American operations were scuttled due to a copyright dispute. Copyright has little to do with the production of ice cream; I could see it being a patent dispute (on how the ice cream is produced) or a trademark dispute over the name or logo, but copyright is a different matter. --Nat Gertler (talk) 13:45, 7 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Removing North America part[edit]

I have removed the North America part in the section "Avalability" as I failed to find any sources for the claim. Erebus Morgaine (talk) 16:23, 20 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Pronunciation[edit]

Is it really pronounced [ˈmœːvənˌpɪk] and not [ˈmøːvənˌpɪk]? According to Deutschtionary, here, the word Möwe, from which the name is supposedly derived, is pronounced [ˈmøːvə]. Kelisi (talk) 17:24, 21 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I agree. The "ö" in "Möwe" is a long closed vowel like "Österreich" or "schön", not a short open vowel as in "öffnen" or "Hölle". -- Michael Bednarek (talk) 10:49, 28 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
