Nothing contradictory at all. Two versions of the musical. One in Toronto, Canada (the first one). After that closed down, the production was moved to London, where it is currently playing. Carcharoth 00:07, 4 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I was wishing to add show dates & times as shown below:

Matinees: Thursday and Saturday 2pm

I think the issue here (why your edit was removed) is that it comes dangerously close to being an advert/directory listing for the show (Wikipedia is not a directory). Certainly your reference is not a good one - the official site should be quoted for this info. In fact, there is already a link to the official site where all this information can be found for those who really want it... beardless dwarves[edit]

The last picture at Dwarf_(Middle-earth)#Adaptations a woman is shown playing the part of Gimli (without a beard). Does the musical generally take such liberties with the books? Is this mean to be funny or ironic somehow? Banaticus (talk) 09:36, 13 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I'm afraid I don't know about the Cincinnati productions! There's two completely unrelated musicals. The Kevin Wallace production, that played in Toronto and London, was more accurate to how most people visualise the characters, having a huge budget helps. Title of article[edit]

This article is incorrectly named in two ways . Firstly, it is decidedly not considered a musical; there is talk about this in the article itself. Secondly, the name is The Lord of the Rings, not Lord of the Rings. Therefore, I propose the article be moved to "The Lord of the Rings (play)." OK, fair enough. I think that we should then mention some of these sources in the introduction to the article, as they seem to confuse the information that's already there. Deleted synopsis[edit]

The synopsis in this article was identical or nearly identical to that in the show's soundtrack CD booklet, and must have constituted a copyright violation. I have therefore replaced it with "Empty section" templates. Gildir (talk) 21:57, 19 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Revival?[edit]

It says in the article that the show "will be revived for a world tour in 2015." It's halfway through 2016 now. We should probably get that fixed.
