Listing accomplishments?[edit]

In response to Black60dragon's edit

  1. I'm not a wrestling fan, but the stable doesn't seem to be any more "fake" than wrestling kayfabe. If you're saying they weren't really straight edge, I still think it portrayed straight edge culture (albeit possibly in an exaggerated way) and is worth mentioning.
  2. So now we're listing accomplishments? Do we need to add how many Grammys James Hetfield has won, how many all star games C.J. Wilson has appeared in, or how many gold records Rise Above has sold? I'm not trying to take away from CM Punk, but listing all his championships gives him undue weight in this article. I think the Notes column in this list should state their profession and a simple means of identification.

Hoof Hearted (talk) 17:04, 10 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

They weren't a Straight Edge group. Only Punk is/and/or was Straight Edge. The other members were fired for not taking up the lifestyle in public. This is by far not all of his accomplishments. Just what he is known for in wrestling. Hetfield is known as the leader of Metallica. Punk is known for being a 7 Time and the Longest reigning of the modern era. Its as long as the others and evens out. There are some others that are a longer description that his. Its fine to include. BlackDragon 18:45, 12 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

It's clearly longer than the majority of others. The only mention that appears to be longer than Punk's is Hetfield's, and what makes his longer is a fact about straight edge that has relevance to the article. Listing four of Punk's accomplishments is far too much information. I'd let one slide, but four is way too much. Also considering it is no secret that WWE wrestling is choreographed and winners are pre-determined, Punk's wrestling accomplishments are exactly as fake as the 'Straight edge society', in my opinion anyway. Between the fake society and the fake accomplishments I believe the society had more relevance to this article, so I preferred Hoof Hearted's version, but as long as it gets shortened from its current version i'll be happy. Freikorp (talk) 22:03, 12 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
If you don't want to mention the Straight Edge Society, then I think Punk's description should read "professional wrestler for the WWE". Hoof Hearted (talk) 19:40, 15 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Non-notable people[edit]

This list include many red links and individuals without Wikipedia articles of their own. I propose removing them and keeping only independently notable people. ---Another Believer (Talk) 21:30, 1 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Agreed. I didn't mind so much when the list was small and had few people in it, but it's more than big enough now to only require blue linked people. Freikorp (talk) 03:08, 2 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Just following this up since no action was taken. I propose deleting every single entry for people who aren't notable enough to have their own article. There needs to be a firm line drawn as to who is famous enough to be added to the list. Damien Linnane (talk) 23:45, 19 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Blogspots[edit]

I thought you didn't do or accept blogspots. Hypocritical much? Useless. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2001:8003:554E:7801:C82C:A8E2:4830:144F (talk) 02:26, 30 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

We don't (and neither should you!). I'll tag them for improvement. Hoof Hearted (talk) 19:09, 15 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Snoop Dogg[edit]

Why is Snoop Dogg on this list? I'm almost certain that he regularly smokes on live streams to this day. I guess I don't have a citeable source that says that, though. 67.187.170.28 (talk) 19:22, 10 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I'm guessing that was an act of vandalism. The source used to support his addition to the list did not even mention him. I'm removed him accordingly. Damien Linnane (talk) 00:14, 11 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
