KG-D6 - India's new field[edit]

Added KG-D6 based on recently published news article http://in.biz.yahoo.com/090402/50/bateb6.html This field is purported to have 9.2 trillion cubic feet - not sure if that's proven, possible, etc., of the reserves. -hairyPotter- —Preceding unsigned comment added by HairyPotter (talkcontribs) 10:12, 7 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Edited[edit]

Added Sable Gas feild off of the southern coast of Nova Scotia. -Meanie-

The South Pars gas field, one of the largest in the world, should probably be added. South Pars holds between 280 Tcf and 500 Tcf. In addition Qatar's North Field is estimated at 380 Tcf. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Asalouyeh

South Pars / North Dome field[edit]

I discovered the article South Pars / North Dome Gas-Condensate field, which treats those fields together, as well as North dome field, which treats that part as separate. Is there a consensus somewhere on whether this field should be regarded as one or two fields for this list? --Alvestrand 13:02, 21 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

It is essentially one field, geologically - the names refer to the political division, and perhaps (I'm not sure) the production is separate in the two countries. So I'd support combining the two articles. "North Dome" is probably more well known, but however the merger is done there should be redirects using both names. Marcellus and Haynesville Shales[edit]

Why aren't the Marcellus and Haynesville shales listed in the top list?

Actually, I think the US should have 4 locations in the top 10...

South Pars/ North Dome[edit]

In the list there is a reserve of 35,000km³ (35 trillion m³), in the article itself 51 trillion m³ are the reserve, according to the International Energy Agency the reserves are 50.97 trillion m³ is written in the reference [1], or do you take the reserves only from 1 reference like "the top 50 natural gas fields" or something like that?

Blacklisted Links Found on the Main Page[edit]

Cyberbot II has detected that page contains external links that have either been globally or locally blacklisted. Links tend to be blacklisted because they have a history of being spammed, or are highly innappropriate for Wikipedia. This, however, doesn't necessarily mean it's spam, or not a good link. If the link is a good link, you may wish to request whitelisting by going to the request page for whitelisting. If you feel the link being caught by the blacklist is a false positive, or no longer needed on the blacklist, you may request the regex be removed or altered at the blacklist request page. If the link is blacklisted globally and you feel the above applies you may request to whitelist it using the before mentioned request page, or request its removal, or alteration, at the request page on meta. When requesting whitelisting, be sure to supply the link to be whitelisted and wrap the link in nowiki tags. The whitelisting process can take its time so once a request has been filled out, you may set the invisible parameter on the tag to true. Please be aware that the bot will replace removed tags, and will remove misplaced tags regularly.

Suggest merge all data into sortable table[edit]

How about we merge all the lists into one sortable table?--Graham Proud (talk) 02:25, 6 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

initial or remaining reserves?[edit]

The article talks repeatedly about the reserves of each fields. If we want ot compare their size, it's logical to use initial reserves, but it could as well refer to remaining reserves (the difference being, obviously, what has been produced already). Fields like hassi R'mel or Urengoy are exploited for decade and severely depleted, so the figures would be very different. This must be clarified.
