Comment[edit]

I can't claim to be an expert, but I wonder about the classification here. Specifically, among flatfish we seem to have at least three categories, with a sole in each (a foot in each camp? - sorry!) megrim, lemon sole and dover sole. Are they not all flatfish, along with plaice and flounder?--King Hildebrand 13:21, 31 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

you're right, It's a bit higgledy pickle. I'll just attempt a more logical version. Totnesmartin 16:29, 22 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hagfish[edit]

I decided against including the hagfish, as its status as a fish is debated. However if anyone wishes to be bold, then go ahead. Totnesmartin 20:52, 22 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Main photo for article[edit]

While I love red grouse and have seen a few over the years in the mountains, I have never seen one swimming in our rivers, lochs or seas. Perhaps someone can find a photograph of an actual fish? 2A00:23C8:858D:7D01:55DB:1094:25FE:B1BF (talk) 11:11, 29 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
