I was surprised that this did not appear in the list of mathematics lists. (But now, of course, it does.) Michael Hardy 23:28, 21 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Should we include the Associated Legendre polynomials or the Legendre functions? Certainly, I think we should as they are different from the Legendre Polynomials.

Page title and content don't match[edit]

The page title is (currently) "List of special functions and eponyms", however, the page only lists special functions that are *also* eponyms. I would expect from the title that it would list special functions *and* eponyms as two separate categories of things.

I propose the name should be changed to something along the lines of "List of eponymic special functions". 97.120.112.254 (talk) 01:56, 2 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
