Magnetic Tape Shown is the Recording Media[edit]

Despite the claim in the description trying to differentiate adhesive-backed magnets from the recording media, the image shown and article link reference the recording media. I took a look but I'm too unfamiliar with whatever needs to be done to fix it. Template driven vs. the standard text stuff I've fixed in the past. Marcberm (talk) 22:06, 8 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Correction Tape is NOT adhesive[edit]

Correction tape doesn't stick to anything and is not an adhesive tape — Preceding unsigned comment added by 107.3.143.19 (talk) 21:08, 16 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

No article for cellophane tape?[edit]

Back in the 1970s, the tape of choice for wrapping gifts was cellophane tape. It wasn't invisible on the wrapping papper and yellowed readily over time. Will (Talk - contribs) 22:38, 23 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

This is a terrible article[edit]

Bondage tape is not a "type" of tape just because someone puts a label on it. That's like Scotch tape being named Scotch because people in Scotland use it. This is a typical example of the drawbacks of Wikipedia and why it cannot be taken as even a remotely reliable source for *any* information whatsoever. Nothing is checked for accuracy and, when it is, accuracy is confirmed by a PhD...then modified by some guy with the clap jerking off in his basement. Wikipedia is a perfect example of what is *wrong* with the Wiki format and Internet as a whole. Yes, we *did* in fact, land on the moon. No, Charles Manson is not Jesus, Weed is not completely harmless, LBJ did not shoot JFK and George W. Bush does not eat barbecued babies for lunch. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.4.62.3 (talk) 16:59, 16 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Also "Magnetic tape ... Is magnetic" -- classic wikipedia. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 73.14.6.135 (talk) 18:27, 5 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Tell us how you really feel! Bondage tape has a unique property due to its purpose, it only sticks to itself and not to the skin. (More importantly, hair on the skin) thus it is a type of tape. If you can provide examples of thus exact tape marketed for other uses your point might be valid. Batvette (talk) 20:04, 1 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hazard tape[edit]

Should Hazard / Safety tape be added to this list? I am referring to the tape that is diagonally alternating yellow and black. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jftuga (talkcontribs) 02:39, 8 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

re: Filament tape[edit]

Theater Face Tape[edit]

This is lacking theatrical face tape used to restrict the movement of over-the-ear microphones among other things; I was hoping for the technical name from this incomplete list. 2600:100F:B090:20B5:198D:6F5A:8BF5:FCC7 (talk) 18:43, 30 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
