I see no listing of underground newspapers such as The Rat and the New York Free Press and East Village Other. Even if they get listed elsewhere, shouldn't there be a link to this elsewhere? tham153 —Preceding unsigned comment added by 4.237.202.82 (talk) 05:32, 8 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

This would be more useful if it included a category for defunct newspapers

Why isn't there a link to Amsterdam News?[edit]

on this page or on the "New York Media" page?

Done. In case you wish to link anything in the future, here's the way to do it; just type [[Amsterdam News]] (or whatever you want to link to) in the editing section, and code will link to that article. Also, please sign your name using four tidelwaves, like this; ~~~~. Thanks. 82.27.21.157 21:00, 15 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Magazines published in New York[edit]

The part of the article titled Magazines published in New York (currently at the very bottom) list 5 magazines.

Since New York City is the main headquarters of publishing in the U.S., there are many, many, many more than 5 magazines that are published in New York City.

I strongly recommend that someone knowledgeable in the subject add 20 or 30 magazines to the list.

If no one is wiling and able to do this, it would be more accurate to remove the section entirely than for Wikipedia to continue giving the utterly false misimpression that there are just 5 magazines published in New York City.Daqu (talk) 11:49, 8 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Is not the focus for this list for those having some focus on NYC as opposed to accidentally being physically within NYC and having no or little interest in printing any articles relative to NYC, except incidentally? WurmWoodeT 23:49, 2 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
