Untitled[edit]

This list of story titles began with a story list published in Comics Revue magazine. It's been refined, corrected and added to, incorporating exact start and end dates for all strips (I have verified each one against my own collection which is 100% complete for Sundays and about 90% complete for dailies). Story titles come from titles given in the actual strips whenever possible (this was not very common), the writers when possible (all Jim Keefe Sunday story titles came directly from Jim and all Thomas Warkentin story titles came directly from his widow, Rosemary) or reprints that published the stories with a title.

The list also agrees with my data, and I have all of the strips, both Sundays and dailies. Sometimes it is not exactly clear on which date a story begins or ends, because there are some transition strips between stories, but aside from that, the list seems to be correct. Certainly, it is the best information available on this subject. I think the "unverified" tag should be removed. Rick Norwood 22:48, 1 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Rick - you are right, it's very difficult at times to find the right break in the stories - especially with the Sundays. I always opted to make sure that the current storyline had finished it's main plot when picking an end date - even if that meant that the lead-in to the next storyline was being classified as part of that story. My philosophy was that if you missed the first few panels leading into a toryline you'd still be fine in following it, but you'd be pretty ticked if you missed tha last few panels of the storyline in which the plot was wrapped up. There were one or two times where the Sunday that ended with "next week: A New Adventure" was not the ideal breaking point because the subsequent Sunday dealt completely with that storyline and the new one didn't start until two weeks from that strip. Thanks for all the great strips in Comics Revue, Rick! Beowulf_Prime 20:48, 2 October 2006 (UTC)Beowulf_Prime[reply]
