Meaning of the figures beside station names[edit]

The figures quoted beside the names of the channel stations in the 'public broadcasters' section are completely without context and have no meaning, could someone explain what they are? I imagine it's the funding they get, but it could be their profits or who knows. Also reference if possible.

I can tell that they're the funding figures because I recognize the numbers, but I don't have a source. I'll put in that they're funding numbers but if a source isn't added all the numbers may need to be removed. JoshuaJohnLee talk softly, please 23:36, 30 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Irish language section[edit]

Since the Welsh section only links to its relevant article, should the Irish section not just point people towards List of Irish-language media? Edit: In fact, that page looks almost exactly like the section here, should the information here not just be merged into the further article?JoshuaJohnLee talk softly, please 20:03, 30 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, I think it (and also Scottish Gaelic) should link as does the Welsh. -- Xxglennxx (talkcont.) 23:09, 30 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
My only problem with doing this with Scottish Gaidhlig is that there are no pages at present that deal with print media. (The Irish Gaelige one does.) So I would prefer to leave at least part of the Scottish Gaelic one here. JoshuaJohnLee talk softly, please 23:27, 30 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
