For British Eyes Only

  • Its listed as "For British Eyes Only" on the DVDs. I think those are an accurate source.
  • I'm going to change S03E02 from "For British Eyes Only" to "The British Bombshell" in 3 days unless anyone can cite a source better than [fox.com/arresteddev] for the the name being the former and not the latter. Pattersonc 22:37, 13 December 2005 (UTC)

Thumbnails

It would be cool to add a small thumbnail image next to every episode... similar to how it is done on this list of Star Trek: The Next generation's episode list. I have all the dvds, perhaps i could help do this. Screenshots could be taken from the DVDs, perhaps an image that is unique to each episode and that someone who has seen the episode would recognize it by. Would be a cool idea i think.

Article Clean-up

Season 1 & 3 links converted, and will work on season 2 when I can be sure I can move articles such as The One Where Michael Leaves episode safely. Created a template in the Top Banana episode, for other episodes to use. --naz 15:05, 26 February 2006 (UTC)

Naming...

I think all episode titles should be shortened from (Arrested Development episode) to just (Arrested Development); no need for "epsidoe". The whole idea of such precise dabbed links seems to have gone on the wayside - we see Persephone (The Matrix) instead of Persephone (Matrix character), and so forth. - Hbdragon88 23:30, 10 March 2006 (UTC)

The list of links for season two is missing Episode 217, "Sword of Destiny," though the page does exist.

Took care of Top Banana. I won't do anything about In God We Trust ebcause there's a disambiguation page and the AD episode is less notable than a lot of the others on there. FOX as a source

Most the episode pages have FOX as a source. I wrote one (Whistler's Mother) and didn't use FOX at all. In fact they don't have anything about AD on their website anymore, and when they did I'm sure the information wasn't crucial (the OP is much more comprehensive), so is it safe to remove it from the sources list (especially since it's a useless link now)? Episode Order

There is still a lot of chat here about dvd order and such, but I consider IMDB a solid source on episode order, rather than people "hearing it's different". According to IMDB there is still a difference (as is different from the order I know) in series 1.
Episode 5 should be "Charity drive"
Episode 6 should be "Visiting ours"
Episode 7 should be "In God we trust"
Episode 8 should be "My mother, the car"
Episode 16 should be "Altar egos"
Episode 17 should be "Justice is blind"
Episode 18 should be "Missing Kitty"

I notice that the episodes are listed here by date aired, which in many cases differs from the "canonical" order listed on the DVDs. Shouldn't they be reordered here to match the DVD order? If not, then surely the episode numbers in the "#" column should be changed so that we have some indication of what the preferred order is. adavidw 09:18, 1 December 2006 (UTC)

I was under the impression that the airdate was the same as the order on the DVDs. But looking at my DVDs, I can see that's not the case. Please feel free to change them back to suit the canonical order of the DVDs. However, I'd rather you left the color scheme the way it is. The black, red, and blue theme looks much sharper than the dull purple-ish. Sorry for the misunderstanding. Evan Reyes 20:47, 9 December 2006 (UTC)
Thanks. I changed it back to the DVD order, and I'm 99% sure all the other changes from this week are still intact. I left the cell colors for season 1 as the black. However, I think the black makes it unreadable, and a lighter color would prevent eyestrain and please the eye better. I am prepared to fight to the death on this, but I won't, because I've just been distracted by something shiny. Still, it would be nice if someone looked at making the colors more readable sometime in the future. adavidw 04:48, 10 December 2006 (UTC)
It looks like the episode order here and the order listed in the individual episode pages is still different. The episode list displayed on each of the episode pages correlates with the region 4 DVD list. So I'm not sure if that is the canonical order, but I think it should be changed to fit one list or the other. Thanks. Diggers (talk) 08:13, 12 June 2008 (UTC)

I put some episodes (season 1, 16-17-18) in order yesterday, and now saw it had been revised, the argument being "they aired out of order." Can we put them in their proper order and ignore the air dates? This is really confusing for anyone who wants to watch them in the proper order - the plot is continuous from episode to episode. By the airing-order the plot in episode 18 follows 15, and the plot in 19 follows 17. It would make more sense to sort them by production code. Mmmikal (talk) 08:23, 5 February 2010 (UTC)

G.O.B.

G.O.B.'s name is spelled "G.O.B.," not "GOB" or "Gob." There are a lot of instances of the former two, not only on this page, but on many other Arrested Development pages, as well. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.95.213.206 (talk) 04:29, 4 November 2007 (UTC)

Is there a source for that spelling? It seems to me like the character's name is a clear parody of Jeb Bush's, and thus should be spelled "Gob". dclayh (talk) 04:44, 30 May 2008 (UTC)

For a while, I had been changing all "Gob/GOB" spellings to "G.O.B.", but apparently on the DVD box sets, captions and shooting script for "My Mother, the Car", it is spelled simply "Gob", or, in the case of the script, "GOB", as the speaker's names are capitalized. I know it's an acronym, but unless you can find better evidence for the spelling "G.O.B.", it should be changed to "Gob." Daruqe (talk) 20:33, 17 August 2009 (UTC)

I was actually just about to post about his name. In the series article it should be explained what it stands for and thereafter spelled Gob as it appears in series subtitles. Subtitles are put in by the makers of the show. Im inclined to using that spelling as it looks like a name. Anyone who hasn't seen it but looks it up here it likely to think its some kinda acronym for a group or some kinda robot... come on man... Gob is a name.G.O.B is an acronym. Individual articles for third season episodes

Why is it that the first two seasons have individual articles for each episode, but the third doesn't have any? I'm pretty sure they used to exist, as I remember being impressed reading the article for the show's last episode, which featured an interesting comparison of all the parallels with the show's first episode. But when I try to type in what would be the address for the individual articles, it re-directs me to this list page.

Episode Titles
