2 Covers[edit]

Of the two album covers, I see the black/red one used & accepted more than the brown/green/orange cover. The brown/green/orange cover is used on Talib Kweli's Myspace page, but the black/red one is used on Madlib's Myspace page, Stones Throw, and virtually everywhere else including Pitchforkmedia.com [1], Slamxhype.com [2] and the majority of other blogs and forums where I've seen the album.

This may be true but kweli has said he, madlib and Blacksmith are the ones putting this out. on the blacksmith website it features the browngreenorange. in his latest blog he mentions this and says the art on the blacksmith site is official view "snow bunnies" blog

Link?[edit]

“Liberation, released on Talib Kweli’s label Blacksmith Music, was introduced to their fans when the first track was leaked, Funny Money. Following the leak, Kweli posted a blog to his fans on Myspace (www.myspace.com/talibkweli) informing them that this was just a sample of a new album produced by Madlib of Stones Throw Records. After months of eager fan posts on messageboards across the web, the nine-track project is complete, in time for the new year. As a gift for the new year, fans can download the album here http://www.gimmemoremusic.com/uploads/Liberation_TalibKweli.zip. This album along with the release of the mixtape Talib Kweli Presents: Blacksmith the Movement, are preparing the way the Blacksmith’s artists’ releases beginning at the top of year with Talib Kweli’s Ear Drum.” --Anselm (AnselmP - de.wikipedia.org)

Where do you get this information? This is incorrect. Funny Money did not "leak" - it was posted by both Madlib and Talib Kweli on their respective Myspace pages. It was then released by Talib Kweli on his Blacksmith mixtape. The link for the free album is no longer valid. There isn't yet any information on Stones Throw, or those Myspace pages as to whether the album will be available again or released at a later time. MarcelloRubini 20:49, 8 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Kweli-madlib-liberation.jpg[edit]

Image:Kweli-madlib-liberation.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
