Japanese[edit]

"In the modern age, some Japanese people have migrated throughout East Asia and adopted the surname Liu, Yoo or Lieu." - Examples?

I'm not sure if this is actually the case, or just that their surnames are Yanagi, which is also written 柳.

As a guess, I think they mean that a person named Yanagi adopts the pronunciation Liu when in China. I think it is a credible claim, but I've added a "citation needed" tag to it. I believe that many (if not most) Japanese people would know the Chinese pronunciation of their name. AtHomeIn神戸 (talk) 07:32, 21 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

This page seems to have no merit or information independent from the main article, and I was wondering if anyone can make a case for keeping this article, especially since the surname variations seem to be kind of a muddled mess anyway. Mousenight (talk)
