Developer of the game and unverifyability of press releases[edit]

"TT Games" is the most commonly used collective term when referring to the group of Traveller's Tales, TT Fusion, TT Games Publishing, and TT Animation, however, when regarding that Traveller's Tales and TT Fusion make games seperately, it comes to the question if press releases are verifiable enough to make "TT Games" the developer. The press release from Business Wire linked by AdrianGamer does say "developed by TT Games". But now take the latest installment, Lego Marvel's Avengers for example. It was developed by Traveller's Tales, video evidence can be found here, and I can confirm that as I own the game myself. The press release, however again states "developed by TT Games", so I really question the verifyability of press releases regarding TT Games' games. If anything for this game says "TT Games" we cannot confirm if it is Traveller's Tales or TT Fusion, as there is no development company labled TT Games, but then there is this article by Game Informer talks about TT Fusion developing the game, which is underlined by an interview with TT Fusion staff. Concluding, TT Fusion is developing it, not "TT Games", and TT Games-related press release are not able to verify the developing studio, as the collective term is always used. Good catch there. I did not know that the GI article stated that its dev is TT Fusion. List them both won't have any problems actually. We can always change it when the game is released. AdrianGamer (talk) 14:51, 3 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Many TT Games games articles have TT Games listed as developer, but regarding that TT Games is only a publishing company responsible for not more than PR since Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment is publishing them, they are only mentioned because they are the "well-known-by" collective name and should not ever be listed. This is often recalled by issues on MobyGames where a company listed as "TT Games Ltd." is supposed to have developed multiple games, but I had talked to the TT Games support, and that company does not even exist apart from TT Games Publishing Ltd. Therefore I suggest to remove "TT Games" as developer from all Lego video game articles and should furthermore try to differntiate Traveller's Tales and TT Fusion, as they are the only TT Games development studios. AFAIK, TT Games Publishing's only development-esque action ever taken was a bit of testing on Batman: Arkham City, and nothing else. Lordtobi (✉) 15:05, 3 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Japan's release date.[edit]

The release date for Japan was announced for release on October 13, 2016, and nobody has added the release date in the infobox. It was released on the Nintendo 3DS and Wii U on October 13. I also don't know why you guys do not Japan releases to the infobox for this game or any other game for that matter if a release date was announced for a specific region. Per the infobox's guidelies located at Template:Infobox video game, only release credentials (dates, publisher, names) of English-speaking regions (NA, PAL (EU/AUS), in some cases UK) and the region of the developer, in this case UK, EU or PAL (depending on how it was released) as TT Games is located in London. The only exception for such is a game exclusive to a region, like the Duke Nukem 3D port for the Sega Genesis was to Brazil until last year. Lordtobi (✉) 20:11, 24 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
