Made for TV or not ?[edit]

Can anyone help as to whether this was actually a made for TV film or just B-movie ??

Date[edit]

Looks like it is a 1998 film. Variety says it aired on April 14, 1998 on the Sci Fi Channel. Erik (talk) 14:36, 27 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I had that same concern. I was unsure how to progress as the film appeared to have been finished in 1997 but first aired on TV in 1998

I am still trying to define the correct date and if it is 1998 it of course should be corrected.

I have just watched the end credits and one of the last lines is :-

It may be that it was produced that year, but we disambiguate film articles by using their release year. WP:NCF says, "When disambiguating films of the same name, add the year of its first public release (this excludes film festival screenings)." A film could be finished a year or more before its actual release; obstacles can get in the way of immediate release. Erik (talk) 12:59, 28 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I have e-mailed John Hess' company to try and find out any further information - mnamely if it was released to the public before the TV showing. Still waiting for a reply though unfortunately!
