Improving this article[edit]

Hi! I'm taking a History of Modern Medicine class at my University and I'm going to be working on improving this article. I'm planning on adding some more sections and improving the citations. If anybody has any advice or suggestions on where to look for sources and what information this page needs, please let me know! Lpoisson14 (talk) 23:39, 25 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Update: I added three new sections and removed one existing one. Blurb for Did You Know page: "Did you know that Lawson Tait, a pioneering figure of aseptic surgery, was an outspoken opponent of practicing surgery on animals?" Lpoisson14 (talk) 05:41, 10 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Peer Review[edit]

Hi, I'm from 140.106. First of all, I want to say that you did a great job of expanding existing sections as well as adding the new ones (early life, career, etc) - the organization especially in my eyes is well done. One thing I noticed is that there is capitalization that doesn't need to be there. For example, in Early Life & Education, antisepsis and asepsis are both capitalized, which may not need to be. And in Vivisection, the words vivisection and evolution definitely should not be capitalized. It's relatively minor, but a little distracting considering the quality of the rest of the work. Lastly, I want to suggest possibly combining the smaller sections - Reducing Surgical Mortality, Surgical Milestones, Ectopic Pregancy - into a larger section, maybe Medical Achievements or Surgical Legacy or something like that.

Again, well done!

Thanks for the input, I really appreciate it! I'll make sure to look into making those edits once break is finished. Lpoisson14 (talk) 23:40, 23 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

This article seems far from comprehensive, and has many paragraphs without citations, I will have to quickfail it. --FunkMonk (talk) 10:15, 25 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]
