External links modified[edit]

Hello fellow Wikipedians,

I have just added archive links to 2 external links on Larry Sherrer. Please take a moment to review my edit. You may add {{cbignore}} after the link to keep me from modifying it, if I keep adding bad data, but formatting bugs should be reported instead. Alternatively, you can add {{nobots|deny=InternetArchiveBot}} to keep me off the page altogether, but should be used as a last resort. I made the following changes:

When you have finished reviewing my changes, please set the checked parameter below to true or failed to let others know (documentation at {{Sourcecheck}}).

Info about death date discussion on Reddit[edit]

Just want to provide a heads up about an ongoing discussion about Sherrer dying on 3 January on Reddit: https://www.reddit.com/r/wikipedia/comments/18zqvk5/a_friend_of_mine_died_a_couple_days_ago_and_i/

It seems like a credible claim but there's no confirmation yet.

The person who made the Reddit post is the same as the recent IP user that tried to add the death date twice. They have been informed about the need to find a source confirming the death before adding it to the article. They've also been informed about respecting WP:COI when editing the article. There's a single source online backing up the claim, but the obituaries are not yet updated to include anything of his death.
Seems credible 90.246.4.250 (talk) 13:51, 6 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Journalist Jon Letman has confirmed on Twitter but will need to wait for a firmer RS. https://twitter.com/jonletman/status/1742820730977530204. Chessrat (talk, contributions) 14:38, 6 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
