Year of birth[edit]

I write this with Theatre World, Volume 26, 1969-1970, page 255 lying in front of me. It clearly says Lara Parker was born in 1942.Ftfrk61 (talk) 15:56, 24 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Parker's IMDb page lists her birth year as 1937, as does her NNDB page. In addition, her bio states that Jane Fonda (also born 1937) was her roommate at Vassar, and she reportedly states on one of the Race with the Devil bonus features that she is three years older than Peter Fonda (b. 1940). It seems likely that Parker or her agency fudged her age in the 1970 magazine, reducing her from 32 to 27, and that 1937 is her actual birth year. 68.210.120.62 (talk) 22:23, 29 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Is she alive?[edit]

Parker's costar Kathryn Leigh Scott says she passed on Oct 12th. Not finding any news about it. Anyone? 150.135.165.34 (talk) 18:26, 16 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Kathryn Leigh Scott is a reliable source. She and Lara Parker were close friends for years after "Dark Shadows" ended. Indeed, KLS wrote about the passing of Lara Parker on her Facebook page. Here is a link and the text. [1] (Copied from KATHRYN LEIGH SCOTT's Facebook page:) "I have sad news . . . my beautiful, beloved friend Lara Parker passed away Thursday, October 12. I'm heartbroken, as all of us are who knew and loved her. She graced our lives with her beauty and talent, and we are all richer for having had her in our lives. Family meant more than anything to Lara, and they have wanted these few days since her passing to themselves. Rest in peace, my cherished friend."
