Australia Day Awards[edit]

This section has been reproduced from the Shire of Cardinia website word for word. While the work of those that received these awards is wonderful, I question whether this is really something we should be looking to include in an encyclopedia article. At the very least I think the last paragraph on the Cardinia Community Event of the Year 2007 should go as it concerns Koo Wee Rup, not Lang Lang. --SRHamilton 05:46, 16 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Copying from other websites breaches Wikipedia policy and if you see any you should be bold and delete the copied material on sight. I also agree that the content is unencyclopedic even if it wasn't copied. -- Mattinbgn\ talk 05:52, 16 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Etymology[edit]

The etymology section as it stands is confused and contradictory. I am not Australian and have had difficulty finding source material on the matter, so I cannot afford the time to edit it myself. I hope that someone in a better position wouldn't mind looking in and supplying, if not definitive information (which I realise is not always available) then at least some balance and context to that section and similar articles on the river name etc. JonRichfield (talk) 08:56, 31 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
