This article is almost identical to one appearing at this website: [1]. Does anyone know which came first?Konczewski 20:24, 3 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I wrote most of the original article and I know that I didn't lift it from another site. The main thing to note is that the site you have linked to has this at the bottom of the page: "© 1998-2007 Misja.com - contact Filmbug - terms of use Article licensed under the GNU FDL. It uses material from the Wikipedia article "Lola Lane" (10-Jun-2004)" (The Wikipedia article, which has never been called "Lola Lane" BTW, was created 13 March 2004) Filmbug is a shite site - type in the name of any actor or actress you please and I'll bet all you get is a copy of someone else's article, whether it be Wikipedia's or from another site. Thanks for the explanation. After I posted my comment, I began to think there was something fishy about Filmbug.Konczewski 14:07, 4 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
You say "fishy", I say "the pits", but yes, we're in agreement ;-) Rossrs 14:16, 4 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Rossrs,

My sister has talked for years about creating a website dedicated to the Lane Sisters. I am thinking about doing that as a surprise for her. Is it permissible to use the material from Wikipedia on another website if the other site is not commercial?

Priscilla Lane[edit]

I think Priscilla Lane used to have her own Wikipedia page. Since (as far as I know), her film career eclipsed the other sisters so completely, it seems strange that she doesn't have her own article. Am I missing something? Upsmiler (talk) 00:15, 12 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I don't know that she ever had her own article, but I completely agree that it's weird having her merely lumped into the sister act, since she did so much on her own and so much more prominently. It's like having Diana Ross only mentioned in the Supremes article. Monkeyzpop (talk) 01:38, 12 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Or Robert Blake only mentioned in the "Our Gang" article. Upsmiler (talk) 04:10, 12 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
