Text and References[edit]

There is interesting and useful material in the titles and comments in the References which really ought to be in the text. One needs to get a feel for the quality of Malleson's work as an actress (and not incidentally as a feminist left-wing activist), beyond just names of productions and references to causes. Did she get anywhere with her idea for salaries for all actors in a preparation of a play? Did she speak publicly once? or repeatedly? When she studied in Paris and Dresden, what did she study? Costuming, make-up, voice-lessons? Stanislavsky? So many topics c, but don't get very far.

Something on the family can surely be found in Burke's Peerage, if she is the daughter of an Earl.

Thanks for the input! In short, I don't disagree. Based on what is available electronically (both openly and behind paywalls), however, topic cs are all that's available. Please feel free to expand on any of the points you touched on if you have access to relevant print resources. --Dnllnd (talk) 14:46, 24 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Dates for Belinda[edit]

I believe I have found the dates for when Belinda was performed but cannot confirm because the data is behind a paywall. I know the year was 1925 because of multiple sources. The British Newspaper Archive discusses the play on 21 September 1925. A review appears the following day implying that was opening night. I believe it was only performed for a week or two. Does anyone have access to the *Hull Daily Mail* for September 1925 so we can confirm this? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jaredhowland (talkcontribs) 06:29, 9 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
