Untitled[edit]

I am going to help with this article when I get some time, let me just start by saying that there are no studio facilities at the Kizai Center (Kurosawa Power and Light), which is located near near the Yokahama-Machida interchange of the Tomei expressway.

The Kurosawa staff really have a unique relationship. It is not the sort of rigid hierarchy that you see in companies this size, there is a very professional spirit which allows for a lot of autonomy and informality.

Eventually if you look at Kurosawa Film Studios you are going to have to look at the unique connection with the freelance commercial lighting community in Tokyo, and with Kurosawa FS's interesting relationship with the art Lighting Troupe, Shinkilow.

Shinkilow was created by Lighting Director Kan Ijichi in the late 80's, early 90's. Like many Tokyo Lighting Directors he had a strong relationship with the staff through using the studios and equipment throughout his career, and since Shinkilow's beginning, Kurosawa has provided the equipment, transportation and staff for Shinkilow, most notably, the annual nighttime illumination of the Field of Heaven at the Fuji Rock Festivals. Only one foreigner, "Bob", has worked with Shinkilow from it's conception.

If there isn't a Shinkilow page here, there should be, if there is, it should be linked to the Kuroswa Film Studio Page.
