VIVA World Cup host[edit]

Northern Cyprus is no longer hosting the VIVA world cup. To my knowledge there is no confirmed host for the tournament, though I believe Occitania made a bid.—Preceding unsigned comment added by 65.184.154.163 (talkcontribs)

Exists?[edit]

Does this team even exist? I think we should only list teams that have had at least one match.—Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.158.224.179 (talkcontribs)

Iraqi Kurdistan national football team[edit]

At the moment there are 3 different titles for this page. However, can an administrator please change the title permanently to (Iraqi Kurdistan national football team). The reason is because this team is the national team of Iraqi Kurdistan. Also, the redirects should be removed so that the page contains one title only. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Kurd-realmadrid (talkcontribs) 23:00, 5 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Title[edit]

All the other pages and redirects should be moved to "Iraqi Kurdistan national football team". As you can see, the Autonomous regions of Catalonia and Basque are both referred to as "National", therefore, the page "Kurdistan football team" must be moved to "Iraqi Kurdistan national football team" permanently.

Please change the title![edit]

Please change this page to: (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Iraqi_Kurdistan_national_football_team) permanently.

These pages are all Autonomous regions as Iraqi Kurdistan and they all have the "National" word: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Darfur_national_football_team http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Occitania_national_football_team http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Western_Sahara_national_football_team http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zanzibar_national_football_team http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Northern_Cyprus_national_football_team http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Catalonia_national_football_team — Preceding unsigned comment added by Kurd-realmadrid (talkcontribs) 22:23, 6 June 2012 (UTC) Kurd-realmadrid (talk) 22:32, 6 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Iraqi Kurdistan national football teamIraqi Kurdistan football team – Simply because it is not a national team. In fact 05:17, 25 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

  • Oppose; "nation" does not necessarily mean "sovereign nation". Powers T 17:14, 25 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

  • Support - as per nom. National teams are the ones that represent a (sovereign) nation and which are achnolledged as such, which is not the case of the Iraqi Kurdistan one. There are also other teams which are wrongly named as "national teams" which should also be moved. FkpCascais (talk) 01:11, 30 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose - A nation is defined as "a community of people who share a common language, culture, ethnicity, descent, or history". A nation does not need to be an independent sovereign state. There are more than 50 nations that aren't independent sovereign states that have "national football team" articles on Wikipedia (please see related page move discussion).--obi2canibetalk contr 12:45, 30 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

National team[edit]

This team is the national team of Iraqi Kurdistan. As you can see above, i have mentioned before that there are many other autonomous regions that have the same "national" word written on their pages too. So if you are a turk or an arab, just get out of here and go edit other pages. I will undo it and report you to the board! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Kurd-realmadrid (talkcontribs) 12:52, 30 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
