Tamil ports of Kudiramalai, Mannar[edit]

All material in the article on the Kudiramalai port, south of Mannar on the west coast (Gulf of Mannar) in the Malabar state of the island of the Sangam period and before is well cited.Lifebonzza (talk) 10:00, 24 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

This article as well as some of your others are very politically incorrect. Please explain your use of "North Ceylon" and "Tamil Eelam" etc? Also the Sangam period refers to Southern India not Sri Lanka.--Blackknight12 (talk) 12:18, 25 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Wikipedia is not a place for users to decide what is and isn't "politically incorrect". We work with making sure that information is reliably cited. As far as the term "North Ceylon,", that is one way that's used to describe the Malabar country in the north east of the island. Tamil Eelam is another. Particular mention is made to this country as Northern Ceylon during the Sangam period and later in the sources used to cite the article. The Sangam period refers to a period in time 2200 years ago when much literature dealt with several aspects of society and geography on the island and the rest of Tamilakkam. The Sangam period is not a location....Lifebonzza (talk) 15:38, 27 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I c/e and tried to make it read more like a nuetral encylopedia article. Then I also removed the tags, hopefully it is of mutual satifaction to both the aprties. Kanatonian (talk) 21:14, 1 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I didn't decide this, but this is a encyclopaedia therefore it would be implied, would it not? And if you think calling Sri Lanka Tamil Eelam or ceylon (in the wrong context) isn't politically incorrect then maybe you shouldn't be editing these kinds of articles, (I say that in the nicest possible way :)). You seem to use reliable sources but what is odd is that you hardly have anything cited other than those books of yours. Again Malabar country does not refer to Sri Lanka and Tamil Eelam is not a state and never was, it is an aspirational one, just like the Sangam period did not happen in Sri Lanka.--Blackknight12 (talk) 14:20, 2 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Tags[edit]

The currently listed tags are due to the many inconsistencies and lack of references and sources on the topic. The topic itself is hardly found in a google search, therefore the hoax/original research tags. Simple facts are not sourced and the article overall does not seem to be neutral.--Blackknight12 (talk) 07:34, 7 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
