Described pronunciation seems different to that from http://www.thefreedictionary.com/knout ?

Removed merger suggestion[edit]
While similar to a cat-o-nine tails, a knout is not the same thing. Similar to how a rapier and a basket-hilted sword share many common qualities and usages, both the knout and the cat-o-nine tails have many similarities yet are most definitely different items. Also, the merger suggestion was up for over a year and there seems to be no argument advocating the merger. Darqcyde (talk) 19:43, 5 November 2012 (UTC)
