Would it be appropriate to add an incident about a genetically modified version of klebsiella?

John Robbins talks about it in his book Food Revolution. They found that the modified stuff did what they wanted, to process fiber into ethanol, but when put into the ground it took over and killed off the other micro-organisms - plants couldn't grow in it - AND once established they couldn't get rid of it. So once it was let loose in the world it could have ended plant life!
