Does anyone know where this software gets its name from? Any connection to the Russian word кино? Gokulmadhavan 22:04, 10 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah, some connection. Kino is the german word for movie theater. It's probably derived from "cinema". Snargle 23:34, 17 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

It's cinema in German. Gwen Gale 03:41, 4 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Can someone explain who Dan Dennedy is, and what the relevance of MLT is? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.14.228.89 (talk) 19:36, 26 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

As far as I'm concerned, if it's in Ubuntu's Synaptic database, it qualifies as "notable". Other video editing software isn't there. This is. I just installed it, thanks to this page. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 85.2.112.86 (talk) 13:18, 14 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

It is also one of the more popular video editors for Linux. I have the impression that only Avidemux is more popular. I removed this, and added a source so the article looks better =) Xvani (talk) 14:09, 31 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
