Who's Rama 2019?[edit]

"At first, the principality included only the territory of the former Pashaluk of Belgrade, but in 1831–1833 it expanded to the east, south, and west. In the first decades of the principality, the population was about 85% Serb and 15% non-Serb. Of those, most were Vlachs, and there were some Turkicized Muslim Albanians, which were the overwhelming majority of the Muslims that lived in Smederevo, Kladovo and Küprili. The new state aimed to homogenize of its population. As a result, from 1830 to 1876, it has been estimated that up to 150,000 Albanians that lived in the territories of the Principality of Serbia emigrated or were expelled"

All of cited is historical false, a political story not an respectable encyclopedia article. Please take into account official Kingdom of Serbia statistical 1889 book (Ministry of commerce, stats dept), pages XXIII - XXVII. Related to official census data from the stats book, there was 1,901,736 inhabitants of Kingdom of Serbia; 93.49% of them was Ortodox, 3.52% Roman Catolics, 0.35 Protestants and 1.12% Muslims. No way Kingdom of Serbia expelled 150,000 Albanians (mostly Muslim by religion).

Even more, the cited text is referenced as like 'Rama 2019, p. 72:The outcome of this policy was that since the beginning of the war in 1876, according to, Braha and Brestovci, about 150,000 Albanians living there had been gradually expelled from the Serb state or emigrated from there'.

Has anyone ever heard of Rama?

So, I'm applying the POW template because of cited false facts.Dejvas (talk) 17:20, 10 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Shinasi Rama is a Clinical Professor of Politics with the International Relations Program at NYU. You cited an official publication about the population of Serbia in 1889. The source discusses the policies of Serbia towards minorities in 1830-1878.--Maleschreiber (talk) 02:31, 11 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
