Opposing deletion of this Wikipedia article[edit]

I don’t think that this page should be deleted because of advertising. I made this page and had nothing to do with the production or promotion of the “King James Bible for Catholics.” I simply find it an interesting subject as an English-speaking Catholic. I understand that this topic may be seen as niche, but given that it has been discussed multiple times by articles from the Anglicanorum Coetibus Society (which acts as the primary public forum for Catholics of the Ordinariate) I think it is worthy of its own entry. It is also publicly available through Amazon so it’s not like this is a privately available Bible translation. Admittedly, my first draft of this page does have a more “colorful”/“advertising” description, so I will definitely try to bring it more in line with the language of Wikipedia. I wholly own this issue.

If disagreement with this article persists I understand it may necessitate removal.

This is my first new article on Wikipedia so I apologize in advance for any mistakes made, I’m still learning the ropes and trying my best to contribute! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Dustinsbailey (talkcontribs) 03:31, 14 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Dustinsbailey: Hi! First and foremost, for a first article, you should be immensely happy with having achieved a stable and stable and sleek looking article! While I appreciate your efforts to moderate the language you use to describe this fascinating topic–one that I am terribly interested in as well, as an Ordinariate fan–the King James Bible For Catholics has only even been discussed on blogs with minimal official status and frankly niche followings. Availability through Amazon does not factor into the notability of a topic, generally speaking. If the King James Bible For Catholics is adopted by the Ordinariates or some other major ecclesiastical institution as an official translation, we might have a different matter on our hands. However, until then, I recommend moving the information from this article to a section on the King James Version page. Let me know if you want help with that or have any further interest in trying to keep this as a separate article. In the meantime, I would also run this article against the Wikipedia standards for notability, which can be found here. Click on the "talk" next to my signature if you ever want help unrelated to this article; everybody deserves someone willing to talk them through some of the beginner stuff on here. Thanks and excellent work. ~ Pbritti (talk) 20:14, 14 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
