While I couldn't find anything about him in scholarly works (even when searching for his name in Korean), he won several Korean literature awards (although they may be niche?), published 30+ books (although some may be self-published), and crucially, there seem to be at least 3 reliable newspaper articles about him: [1], [2], [3].
