I'm not sure if Kent Taylor (Louis William Weiss)[edit]

My Uncle Max Weiss was Kent Taylor's cousin. He was also born in Nashua, Iowa around the same. He was my maternal Aunt's husband. He also had a brother Carl Weiss. My Aunt Vada (nee' Herzog) was from Ionia, Iowa, not far from Nashua. They had a photo of Kent Taylor in their farmhouse (called Pearl Rock) just outside of Nashua. I was always told that the man in the photo was Uncle Max's cousin a famous movie and television star. I never heard or saw any evidence that my Uncle Max's family was Jewish. There are many people of German ancestry (as is my mother's family) in that part of Iowa, many of them Roman catholic. Obviously, Kent Taylor could have had a Jewish mother, or could have converted. My mom, aunts, uncles, and cousins from this part of Iowa are all deceased, so I have no one else to ask. Christine CrossL54* (talk) 20:41, 6 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
