I've translated the article from the Japanese as best I could.

The name "Shimonokobe" is also read "Shimokobe." The Japanese article on Keichū gives いもこうべ as the reading for this name. Aslo, since a macron is used over the name "Keichū" it may be a good idea to use a macron over for 下河辺 so that it would be "Shimonokōbe" or "Shimokōbe." Presently this surname is usually read "Shimokōbe" but sometimes it is read "Shimonokōbe." (Nlsincyk (talk) 02:17, 3 May 2011 (UTC))[reply]
