Kāśmīra and Nāga[edit]

Kāśmīra is at the western end of the Himalaya in the Kashmir Valley. The Nāgas live at the eastern end, in Assam. So on first sight it would seem to be non-sense to equate the two. The Nāga people of Assam speak a Tibeto-Burman language and there's no evidence for those languages as far west as Kashmir. Lest we forget nāga is word that does a lot of duties in India, meaning elephant (or any large animal), snake, and water-sprite, in addition to the Nāga tribes of Assam. I think this article has been written by someone who takes Hindu religious texts to be historically accurate which is far from a neutral pov. Jayarava (talk) 08:07, 17 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
