I've moved the following here, to be sorted out:

Some data that I am aware of about Kaberi Bose .

She was married a Senior ITC Executive - named Rana Chatterjee ( own brother of Lolita Chatterjee - the film actress ) . Rana was a nickname of kaberi Bose's husband .

Late Rana Chatterjee , started his career with the Imperial Tobacco Co.( ITC ) at Mungher ( Bihar ) .

Perhaps in 1968 / 1969 - she & her husband( Rana ) & perhaps a child , met with an accident near Tista River , when the couple were Calcutta - bound in their car .

In that accident Rana Chatterjee died ( virtually on the spot ) - but Kaberi escaped & leapt to life .

Kaberi Bose , was an upcoming actress ( Notable mention : RAIKAMAL ) , when she married Rana Chatterjee . After her marriage she quit films & perhaps concentrated on home - making .

I recall having heard that they had a daughter , who wouldn't be older to me for sure .

She revived her active connection with films , with late Satyajit Ray ( Days & Nights in the Jungle ). Her next film to my knowledge was " Je Jekhane dnariye " & then perhaps " Ami Shey O Shakha ' .

Thereafter ; she perhaps receeded into oblivion .I never heard of her in the 1980s .

She did contribute to the cause of cinema - hence I tried to provide my inputs ;albeit , subject to your verification .

Rana Chatterjee was a very good friend of my father . They lived near Richie Road & Kaberi bose , lived a couple of rows - closeby .

My sincere request : Please make a complete database of a fine actress KABERI BOSE after due verification .

0 - 9160111956 Thanks,Somnath,I believe u are a Calcuttan like me.I met Kaberi Bose in 1981,so this accident mentioned earlier on this article is not entirely true,Rana died in that accident as stated by you was a fact,well ,on topic she was still alive when I saw her in 1981,almost as beautiful as in the earlir films,after that we really did'nt hear about her much,I'm waiting for someone who would actually come up with something more precise.
