Speaking of Animals[edit]

I have copy of an interview with June Foray in which she says that she, Stan Freberg, and Daws Butler did voices on Speaking of Animals for Jerry Fairbanks. Searching Wikipedia, I found Speaking of Animals and Their Families and Speaking of Animals Down on the Farm. Both articles credit Jerry Fairbanks, and neither credit Foray, Freberg, or Butler. Does anybody have any idea which of these two films, if either, she was talking about? I've searched the articles of all three actors, and none of them contain the phrase "Speaking of Animals" anywhere.--NukeofEarl (talk) 16:06, 12 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

There was a series of Speaking of Animals shorts released in cinemas from the early 1940s to the mid-1940s where live action monkeys were voiced by these actors. Foray was referring to The Lonesome Stranger (1946), in which she played Little Orphan Fanny. Don't know which short featured Daws Butler.Radiohist (talk) 16:38, 12 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hoaxes to watch out for[edit]

Various accounts have put forward hoaxes here. A careful watch should be kept for non-existent shows added to the biography. I found these hoaxes:

The Hoaxes have been removed from Wikipedia...but not from Google![edit]

I am aware of the fact that this isn't the right place to post these kinds of things, but, please someone who works for google or knows someone who does, remove Foray's death date from the google box or whatever its called. We should take action because some brainless (fill in the blank) vandal wrote this disgusting thing on her Wikipedia page, and now its on google and it doesn't seem to be going away while wiki is quick to correct such mistakes but google is much more sloppy.

Please, this is slander towards June Foray and her relatives, and her friends, and her fans! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 130.204.244.111 (talk) 14:19, 30 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Well. This didn't age well. 2601:248:8003:8E50:DD1B:3E:9C41:7D95 (talk) 00:25, 23 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Death[edit]

I know this probably isn't enough, but her caretaker says she passed: [1] -- Dpm12, 21:27 PDT, 26 July 2017.

With her passing, would the "biography of a living person" message be relative? Source -- dgdave1977, 23:49 PDT, 26 July 2017.

Fixed. Until death is confirmed a bio page can still be a BLP, per WP:BDP, but Foray's has been both announced and reported. — Wyliepedia 06:55, 27 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
