Untitled[edit]

What on the Earth happened to the previous version of this page? It was MUCH bigger. I remember too well I translated parts of it into Russian, combining with the French version. I remember I myself made several edits. Now, I see nothing in the page history. What happened to it? Alexei Kouprianov 20:35, 24 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Note[edit]

For the record, the possibility arose of some problems the historical provenance of the article - in particular, an external site was using the article without indicating that it came from us, and therefore a Wikipedia opponent had labeled it as being plagiarism on our part.

However, User:Smallweed has indicated to me that his original version of the article was based on the 1911 Britannica; I have confirmed this by verifying 1911encyclopedia.org, and have therefore restored the deleted edits. DS 23:38, 29 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Vampires[edit]

Tournefort's Voyage du Levant is often cited as one of the earliest accounts of Eastern European vampirism to gain mass exposure in the West. Should this entry reflect this? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Stuthehistoryguy (talkcontribs) 19:51, 27 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
