Jorge Stolfi write about himself in wikipedia[edit]

I think Jorge Stolfi has break the rules about wikipedia because he has create a page for himself. Jorge Stolfi is the only editor of this page. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Chek2fire (talkcontribs) 22:43, 27 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

That is totally incorrect. If you check the history, you will see that the article was created by someone else on 2007-09-21. That article focused on only one of the things that I did. I hoped someone else expanded the article, but when that did not happen, I did it myself on 2010-12-28. There is no blanket rule against editing your own article, as long as you abide to the other rules.
Since then others have edited the article, including a vandal who stated that I was a bitcoin enthusiast. I had to correct that. Another editor added that I have been slow to grade tests in 2016 (which is true, but hardly "encyclopedic") and that I assign random grades (which is not true). Obviously I am tempted to remove that line, but that would be improper.

Rebuttal[edit]

Does the following really belong on the page? It is simply a personal attack on him which says his testimony cannot be trusted because he is anti-bitcoin. "This letter had doubt cast on it for non-technical reasons by “IT specialist” Colin Baird in a letter to the SEC some months later.[16]"
