Education[edit]

The personal information "He was educated at St Paul's School (London), Camberwell School of Art, Cambridge University and Webber Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art." has been removed on the basis that it has been tagged for citation for over a year.

It seems however that the educational information in many WP:BLP are not tagged for citation, presumably because this information is not always publicly verifiable. Taking "Webber Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art" for example, there is no readily apparent online list of alumni, so unless the actor has mentioned the Academy in an interview, the claim rarely has a citation.

What should be done about this?

If it cannot be verified through the inclusion of reliable sources, then the information should be (and has been) removed in order to remain compliant with policy. Any of the material can be restored if a source can be found to support its inclusion. If unsourced personal information appears in other biography articles, that is a detriment to those articles and not a reason to do the same here. --Jezebel'sPonyo ^{bons mots} 23:10, 29 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for responding, and that's fair, though it appears that claims that are relatively uncontentious typically seem to escape the "citation needed" tag.
