Overall tone[edit]

The previous version was much too hagiographic, "PR-like" and non-wikipedia like in tone. It must be remembered that the presentation on wikipedia is "just the facts", without sounding a publicity machine. DJRafe 18:11, 6 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Copyright status[edit]

I've asked TCSmusic (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log) to confirm the license status of the text he added to the article today. He alleges it's released under GFDL by Mauceri, but I want evidence, since it's taken straight from http://www.johnmauceri.com/bio/biography.php. In the absence of a GFDL/CC/PD release there, copyright and reservation of rights is assumed. —C.Fred (talk) 01:05, 11 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Since I don't see any evidence this was ever done, reverting to the last version not including the copyvios. --SarekOfVulcan (talk) 17:19, 12 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Pronunciation[edit]

Can someone provide a note on the preferred pronunciation of his last name? Specifically I'm wondering if the -c- in -Mauceri- is pronounced as an /s/ or is affricated to what would be -ch- in usual English orthography. The former is what I recall everyone using at Yale around 1967-70, but the latter choice is what the announcers at WFMT (Chicago classical music radio station) seem to use now. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.21.83.82 (talk) 14:16, 6 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
