Religion

It is my contention that the inclusion of religious affiliation is irrelevant in this article. This article exists to document the campaign of John Kasich, and his Biography is the place where this information is appropriate. Mentioning he was raised Roman Catholic has no relevance whatsoever, for he is Anglican now. Were he Muslim or Hindu, it would be notable, for such has never served as president. "First presidential candidate of Croatian ancestry"

This cannot be right because Dennis Kucinich also has Croatian heritage. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.115.103.147 (talk) 16:45, 8 August 2015 (UTC)

Content

The article only has one sentence on the campaign. In effect, this is just a really short Kasich biography. Should either be expanded or article deleted. -KaJunl (talk) 23:23, 21 September 2015 (UTC) KaJunl (talk) 23:23, 21 September 2015 (UTC)

That's not how it works. Every significant campaign receives an article to cover it, where new developments are added. Its still summer (for two more days), there have only been two debates, and the field has just started thinning out. There's going to be more information soon, and this article will be useful then.   Spartan7W §   23:25, 21 September 2015 (UTC)
Got it, thanks. My main concern is just that the John Kasich article has much more information about the campaign than the campaign article, which it links to, which doesn't make much sense to me. I understand that this should improve with time. I would recommend taking some of the information from the John Kasich article and moving it here. -KaJunl (talk) 19:03, 25 September 2015 (UTC)

Return to Oval Office?

There's a photo in here with the caption "Kasich would like to return to the Oval Office", even though there is no other mention of the Oval Office in the article, and (since Kasich has never been President, nor as far as I can tell has he worked in the Oval Office in any supportive position) it makes no meaningful sense to say this, even if it may be true. It reminds me of some of the "documentation" I adduced in my high-school biology term paper on "The evidence for a soul in the lower animals"... --Haruo (talk) 22:01, 30 December 2015 (UTC)

    • Photographic proof that he actually has been to the Oval Office. If you don't like the caption, change it to something boring, or remove photo.Roseohioresident (talk) 01:18, 31 December 2015 (UTC)

Virginia town halls line - noteworthy?

Propose deleting the following line. Kasich has had tons of town halls in many states, not sure why this is worth mentioning specifically.

"On January 22, Kasich campaigned in Virginia with three town halls at George Mason University, the University of Virginia, and Virginia Commonwealth University."
